Why is Reception Photography different? After celebrating with families for twenty-six years, one of the most unforgettable people I’ve met was one of the most memorable moments of my career. A woman in her late sixties, about 5’. 5”, nicely dressed, and fit. She told me she was the grooms grandmother. She asked if she could make a request; a very popular rap tune. She said she wanted to dance with a couple of young men... her grand sons. She then asked if I would mind clearing the dance floor, because they were going to break-dance.. I was astonished. She and her two grandsons had a whole routine worked out. The whole room erupted in excitement, and everyone crowded around the dance floor to cheer her on. That amazing moment ended with her standing on her head!

There is no doubt her family would be talking about that moment for years to come, but memories of that moment would be all the newlyweds would have of the time grandma was break-dancing with her grand kids at their wedding reception.  Unfortunately, the photographer they hired had left after the cake had been cut, and the pictures that were taken by the disposable cameras the newlyweds had put on the tables for guests to use, were mostly underdeveloped and blurry.

It occurred to me, that truly unforgettable moments happen at every wedding reception. Wedding receptions are truly a unique moment in a couples life. Two different families and friends coming together to celebrate the unity of the newlyweds and the merging of two families. This day... this moment in time will never happen again, and truly unforgettable moments will happen. Our DJ entertainers make sure of it.

Photographers generally leave right after the cake is cut; often staging the first dance. Photographers work hard, and are often with their clients from early morning  through the entire day and exhausted. Staying through the reception is just not doable.  It is an intrinsic part of our mission statement to work with all the vendors at your reception, and we will work with your ceremony photographer to make sure they have our time-lines and know when important event will be taking place as long as they are there.

To offer our clients  a photography service that was truly unique, and captured those unforgettable moments that will happen through the rest of the night. It would take a photographer that was intimately knowledgeable with our client's needs and wishes. A synergy between photographer and the DJ entertainer would be necessary to make sure nothing is missed, and the stage is set. When our clients look at their pictures of the 1st dance and all of the unforgettable moments they shared with family and friends, like the ones in our website; our clients deserve to see the expressions that were completely from the moment... nothing staged.
